Introduction
The Holy Bible is divided into two major sections. Each of these sections is made up of the books shown on the right side of this page.
Section 1 - Old Testament
The books of the Old Testament were written before Jesus Christ was born on Earth.
Section 2 - New Testament
The books of the New Testament were written after Jesus Christ was born.
All Of The Bible Is Important
Every word of the Holy Bible is important and every single word of it is God's truth. Different parts are important to different people at different times.
Below you will find several of these important places. We call them Biblical Destinations. Read the verse first. Then read before and after it. This will reveal better reveal God's truth to you by putting the verse into context.
All words said by Jesus are shown below in red letters.
Thank you for suggesting a Biblical Destination here.

Location:
Psalms 118:8
What it says:
"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man."
Comments:
There are as many verses before Psalms 118:8 as there are after it. Interestingly enough, the chapter before Psalms 118 is the shortest in the Bible and the one after it is the longest.
Psalms 118:8 the best reason for investing your time into yourself by reading your Bible daily. Make God the center of your life. Humans will inevitably let us down. But God never breaks His promises. Never, ever.

Divorce
Location:
Matthew 19:3-9
1 Corinthians 7:12-15
Comments:
God likes marriage. That is why He created it. God does not like divorce. Divorce costs A LOT in terms of joy, peace, time, money.
All of that is usually better spent on making things work. In 2006, divorce is way too easy and recovery is more costly than ever.
Recent Statistics (% of marriages resulting in divorce):
- First marriages = over 50%
- Second marriages = 63%
- Third marriages = 87%
- Fourth marriages and beyond = 93%
While you may want to trade your spouse in for a newer or different model, in all respects its a lot cheaper to fix what's wrong than it is to divorce.
While everyone will suffer in and after a divorce, no one suffers more than the kids. Think long and hard about divorcing and exhaust every possible solution including counseling BEFORE filing for divorce.
Of course if your spouse is beating you, the kids, or is cheating on you or is an unbeliever wanting out... LET THEM GO OR LEAVE (WITH THE KIDS).

Forgiveness and Forgiving
Location:
Matthew 18:21-22
What it says:
The Peter came up and said to him, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times? Jesus said to him. "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven (seventy-seven times)."
Comments:
Unforgiveness, holding grudges, seeking and/or exacting revenge is a killer. It does NOT kill the other person. It kills you!

God's Ways Are Higher Than Human Ways
Locations:
Isaiah 55:8-9
What it says:
Isaiah 55:8-9 - "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Comments:
While human beings assign varying degrees of sin to various wrongs committed by human beings, God does not see it that way at all. To God, every sin is the same. A white-lie is the same as 10,000 cold-blooded murders as God sees it. This is why we need to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior; when God looks at us and we are covered by the blood of His Son, he does not see us and our sin but instead sees Jesus.

Love Described
Location:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
What it says (Amplified):
"Love endures long and and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a sufferred wrong]. It does not rejoice in injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]."

Praying and Agreement
Location:
Matthew 18:18-20
What it says:
"Truely, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

The Lord's Prayer
Location:
Matthew 6:9
What it says:
"Pray then like this: Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us of our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
Comments:
Prayer is powerful when done from the heart and in the manner that Jesus taught us to pray. The Lord's Prayer is the most complete prayer in the Bible and it covers everything Jesus deemed as important to pray about.

The Prodigal Son
Location:
Luke 15:11-32
Comments:
God accepts us back into his flock when we stray away from Him as if we never left at all. And He is not mad at us when we return to Him. It overjoys Him when we return.

The Whole Armor of God
Location:
Ephesians 6:10-20
Comments:
The Whole Armor of God consists of:
The Helmet of Salvation
The Breastplate of Righteousness (in Christ)
The Belt of Truth
The Shoes of Peace
The Shield of Faith
The Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God)
The Whole Armor of God is essential for battling the enemy in our lives every day. Walk out into the spiritual battle (that is going on everywhere) without the Whole Armor of God on and you can expect spiritual defeat.
Be sure to put on the armor before going into public. Be sure to put it on before you have any contact with difficult people. Be sure to put it on before witnessing, giving testimony, going to pray for people, etc.
With the Whole Armor of God on and securely in place, your spiritual battles will be won by the Lord and for His Glory. Realize that without Jesus you will always lose when battling the enemy.

Titheing and Giving To The Poor
Location:
Dueteronomy 14: 3-21
Links To False Doctrine:
This will open another window on your computer:
http://bible-truths.com/tithing.html - the content at this location is false because of one very basic fact:
It takes money to spread the word of God and erect and maintain houses of worship in which believers can gather together, learn more about the Lord and share their faith with other believers.
If church members do not give the church the money, there will be no church. Period. Simple enough.
